Adrian Gilpin founded IHD in 1994. His primary role is the continuous development of the Pathfinder concepts and tools, including the Pathfinder Online Social Learning platform.
He travels extensively delivering keynote presentations about how leaders can access the science behind creating a fearless, high-performing enterprise.
Many organisations – including IBM, Zurich, Deutsche Bank, Prudential Property Investment Managers, Barclaycard and the Commercial Bank of Kuwait – have retained Adrian to mentor their Managing Directors and facilitate and coach senior executives. Entrepreneurs work with Adrian to maximise the value of their enterprises; Adrian coached the board of Bookham Technology through the largest ever public floatation of any UK technology business, and mentored the owner of IRG Ltd during the lead up to the sale of his business to Capita for £100 million.
Adrian works regularly within the public sector too, including the MOD, and all three armed forces. He is a mentor to the founders of a number of social enterprises. Passionate about education and the opportunities within schools and universities to change how we inspire and educate the next generation is now a major focus for Adrian.

Sue Liburd MBE is a multi award-winning businesswoman, with 25 years experience in behavioural change, human resource management and people development. Working internationally across a range of sectors for some of the world’s leading multinational corporations as an architect and facilitator of behavioural and organisational transformational change. Sue is a Lead Programme Director for many of IHD’s largest clients. Sue was awarded an MBE in the 2016 New Years Honours list for services to business, charities & voluntary organisations.
Steve Ritchie was Managing Director of IHD’s business in the Middle East until returning with his family to live in Scotland. Steve continues to work closely with IHD on developing the Pathfinder Social Learning Platform, and leading Pathfinder Leaders’ Masterclasses for clients.
Brave Productions are Pathfinder Certified Partners in Europe and Asia Pacific. Specialising in coaching, training and organisation development services for medium to large enterprises, such as Microsoft, Airbus, The Cooperative Group, Lloyds TSB, McDonald’s, Fitness First, the Ministry of Defence, and The Prime Minister’s Strategic Unit the Brave Productions team is Professor Christine Le Scanff, Ph.D., Andrew Hambly-Smith and James Stringer, all highly regarded senior leadership coaches and organisation development consultants.
Graham is an experienced management consultant and programme director, who has held senior leadership roles in PwC and IBM. His passion for encouraging people to perform with real commitment, creativity and confidence resulted in IBM’s Fearless programme which he sponsored and led in the UK and Europe. He is an Associate Fellow in the Executive Education business at Said Business School.
